Notice of Privacy and Security at CMA Mortgage

services. The purpose of this section is to explain how CMA Mortgage protects and
uses your personal information when and after you obtain a home loan from us. We want
you to know that information given to us is safe, secure and used in a responsible

sharing limited amounts of your personal information within our CMA Mortgage family
and with well-respected, carefully selected business partners enables us to offer
you personalized products and services at lower costs and/or much greater convenience
than otherwise would be possible.

The type of information we collect:
Throughout the process of you obtaining a mortgage loan with us, we collect nonpublic
personal information about you from several sources. Some of these sources are:
Information we receive from you on mortgage loan applications and other forms (such
as your phone, social security and account numbers, assets, income and employment
history)
Information about your transactions with other lending institutions or creditors (such
as your loan balances, payment histories and other account information)
Information we receive from third parties (such as from a credit reporting agency
that addresses your creditworthiness and credit history)
Information we obtain from others to verify the information you have provided to us
(such as your employment history and other relationships with third parties)
Information collected from our Internet web sites (such as information you provide
to us and information necessary to manage your online session with us)
Our disclosure of such information:
We do not disclose any nonpublic information about you to anyone, except as permitted
by law or permitted by you.
Permitted by law:
By way of example, we are legally permitted to share nonpublic personal information
with third parties, such as credit reporting agencies, federal and state regulators
and loan investors, relative to matters such as originating, processing, closing or
servicing your mortgage loan, validly issued subpoenas, a fraud or other type of quality
control investigation, an audit or other examination, or the sale of your mortgage
loan to another institution.
Permitted by you:
Further, and to make additional products and services available to you, often at substantial
savings, we may prudently share some nonpublic personal information about you with
certain business partners under agreements requiring that such information be kept
confidential. By way of example, we may periodically extend offers to you that pertain
to real estate brokerage services, insurance, credit cards, home furnishings and accessories,
home security systems, utility hookup service facilitators and the like. With regard
to the sharing of the information, please refer to the paragraph captioned you have
choices below.
If you decide to pay off your mortgage loan with us, or your relationship becomes
inactive, we will continue to treat the information we have collected about you in
accordance with this Notice.
How we protect that information:
We restrict access to your personal information to those employees who need to know
that information so that they may provide our mortgage loan products and services
to you. We maintain physical, electronic and procedural safeguards that comply with
federal regulations to protect the disclosure of your nonpublic personal information.
You have choices:
We respect your right to privacy and give you control of how your non-public personal
information may be shared with our business partners. If you wish to receive offers
from our well-respected and carefully screened business partners, you need do nothing.
If you wish to limit the sharing or such information, please submit a communication
in writing. Your letter should indicate that you do not with to receive information
from our business partners about new services of special offers for which, as a CMA
Mortgage customer, you may be eligible.
